2013- Things I want to remember:
-I started my Master's Degree in Curriculum Administration at UCA.
-We traveled to Cancun on the S&S Tire trip.
-My sweet Gran went to be with Jesus. I miss her every single day, but I am so thankful for each and every memory I have with her.
-Finished my first year of teaching in 5th Grade; decided to move to 2nd grade.
-Brad and I went to Thunder on the Mountain...so fun!
-Brad and I went for a little Sunday drive in the Bronco and ran out of gas!
-Dustin and Katelyn got married on August 10th. I was the maid of honor, and Brad was a groomsmen.
-Our friends Daryl and Misti got married on October 5th. Brad and I were both in the wedding.
-We enjoyed riding the Rhino with friends!
-Worley's Tire bought a new, huge tire shop in Harrison. I am so proud of Brad!
-The holidays were spent surrounded by friends and family! For Christmas, I got a Ruger pistol, KitchenAid Mixer, and a Michael Kors bag....high class redneck? ha! I gave Brad a GoPro camera so he can record our rides.
-To end the year with a bang, we are buying a house in Harrison! We won't actually close until January, but I think this is a 2013 event! The house is perfect for us and is surrounded by 10 acres!
2013 has been a year of both joy and sadness. I have learned so much about myself and about life in general. I am learning what is truly important and what can be put on the back burner.
2014- Resolutions...goals...whatever you want to call them:
-Move in our new house, make it our home!
-Be an example to my 23 favorite second graders!
-Finish my Master's! Woo Hoo!!!
-Quit procrastinating!
-Enjoy life, quit worrying about things that are out of my control.
-Take more pictures...write more to document our daily life!
-Spend time with our families!
-Spend more time with God.
Last week, a friend posted on Facebook about her "word" for the year. I have been thinking of about what mine would be since then.
For me, the word "purpose" comes to mind.
The dictionary definition of purpose is
: the reason why something is done or used : the aim or intention of something
: the feeling of being determined to do or achieve something
: the aim or goal of a person : what a person is trying to do, become, etc.
What is my purpose in life? What direction does God want me to go? I want to be more intentional, and less CRAZY. I want to act with a greater purpose in mind. I want to be content, while striving to be my best!
I know 2014 is going to be BIG for us!
